Gold-Plated bronze (gilt bronze), reference HK-428 with a rarity R-4.

Grade: Obverse, some scratches otherwise gEF, gold plating worn, reverse, cleaned ,with little gold plating remaining.

The obverse features Uncle Sam with shovel, designed by Washington Atar Cartoonist C.K. Berryman, engraved by Charles E. Barber.

Reverse features the passage of S.S. Ancon through the Panama canal.
