Obverse: Young first uncrowned bust of Queen Victoria to the left.

Engraver: William Wyon.

Legend: VICTORIA DEI GRATIA, (Victoria by the Grace of God.)

Reverse: Crowned arms within branches.

Engraver: Jean Baptiste Merlen.

Legend: * BRITANNIARUM REGINA FID : DEF : *, (Queen of the Britains Defender of the Faith.)

Edge: DECUS ET TUTAMEN ANNO REGINI XI, (An ornament an a safeguard Eleventh year of reign.)

This coin came from a respected collection, with attractive grey old cabinet toning, and almost rainbow toning under direct light.
