Bronze competition medal (N.Z.R.S.A.) circa 1950s.

Obverse: The design features a classic New Zealand kiwi bird standing on a vintage four-wheeled roller skating chassis (trolley). The surrounding arches indicate motion or sound waves.

The kiwi is flanked by stylised fern leaves, a national emblem of New Zealand.

The medal; is struck in bronze and features a top ring suspension loop for a ribbon.

Manufactured by Christchurch-based medal makers Moller & Young, a prominent commercial engraving, badge, and medal manufacturing company founded in Christchurch.

Reverse: Uninscribed so was never awarded of officially engraved with a competitor's name, year, or event discipline.

Reverse abbreviation M& Y (Moller & Young), and CH.CH. (Christchurch).
