One Penny 1956 without a shoulder strap.

The Queen's effigy was changed in 1956 by the addition of a strap over her shoulder.

The entire obverse was recut, not just the 'strapless', other diagnostics can be checked to acertain the coin in question is  genuine and not a 

'strap' worn example.

Obverse: Queen Elizabeth II.

Reverse: Tui on a branch.

Legend: NEW ZEALAND  . ONE PENNY . 1956 .
