Iron Medal 1916, 41mm.

GOLD GAB ICH ZUR WEHR EISEN, NAHM ICH ZUR EHR.

Translation: Gold I gave for War, Iron I took for Honor.

Engraver: Kurt Hermann Hosaeus.
