King Edward I Reign,1272-1307.

Long cross coinage.

Silver Penny, Durham mint.

Obverse: Legend around crowned facing portrait within inner beaded circle.

Legend: + EDWA R’ ANGL’ DNS hyB: (Edward King of England Lord of Ireland).

Reverse: Long cross pattée, trefoil of pellets in angles, mint name around.

Reverse reads: CIVI TAS DVR EME.

Silver: 0.925 (sterling), 1.309g, 17.5mm max.

Catalogue: Spink # 1421.

Grade: Obverse Fine, reverse aVF, clipped and toned as usual, flan crack to edge.
