Obverse: Uncrowned portrait of King George VI facing left.

Engraver: Thomas Humphrey Paget. Initials H.P. in exergue.

Legend: EORGIVS VI D : G : BR : OMN : REX F : D : IND : IMP. (George the Sixth by the Grace of God King of all the Britains Defender of the Faith Emperor of India.)

Reverse: British Wren,  date above and denomination below.

Engraver: Thomas Humphrey Parker. Initials H.W.P. below wren.
