Obverse: Queens laureate bust with her hair tied in a bun to the left.
Legend: VICTORIA D : G : BRITT : REG : F : D : (Victoria by the Grace of God Queen of the Britains Defender of the Faith.)
Engraver: Leonard Charles Wyon.
Reverse: Britannia seated right with trident in her left hand, sailing ship to her right and lighthouse to the her left.
Mintage: 12,560,000.
Bronze, 9.40g, 31mm, edge plain.

Scarce variety 1 (in date) over small 1, the 1 is tall and thin, CP 1859Aa, 5 is struck over 5 (unkown variety.) Also there is an extra dot below the colon after 'DEF' on the reverse. The obverse legend is over struck, and also has a die fault under 'VICTORIA'.
Grade: gVF-aEF, dark tone, scraches and dig to the obverse.
