Reverse: Serapis standing front, head to left, raising his right hand in salute and holding sceptrein his left.
Serapis was a major Graeco-Egyptian deity created by Ptolemy I to unite Greek and Egyptian subjects, later adopted by the Romans as a powerful god of healing, the sun, and fertility.
