Issued to British and imperial forces.
Awarded to a New Zealand soidier.
Edge reads: 13/2211 TPR . W . H . MULD ROCK. N.Z.E.F. (records MULDROCK).
Obverse: Standing figure of Victory holding a palm branch in her hand and stretching out her left hand.
Reverse: A laurel wreath containing a four-line inscription. THE Great War FOR CIVILISATION 1914-1919.
Metal: Yellow bronze, 36mm.
Ribbon (new replacement), 38mm, double rainbow with indigo at edges and red in the centre.
Condition: Obverse some rust to the breast, and verdigris to the loop attachment, some wear both sides to the gilding.
Recipient information: William Henry, a farmer from Kamo, Whangarei, enlisted in the Auckland Mounted Rifles, 13.8.14, posted to Egypt 1914-15.
Later posted to unit at Dardanelles 13.8.15, wounded 28.8.15 and died from his injuries 29/8/15.
