1601 Sixpence, mint mark 1 . Scarce date to obtain in decent grades.
Obverse: Crowned bust to the left with rose behind.
Legend: ELIZABETH D G ANG FR ET HIB REGINA* (Elizabeth by the Grace of God Queen of England France and Ireland.)
Reverse: Square topped shield over long cross fourchee dividing the legend. Date above.
Legend: POSVI DEV ADIVTOREM MEV 11601. (I have made God my helper.)

Grade: aFine, some clipping.
Obverse: Well worn with light scratches and old stain.
