This coin is part of the River Thames hoard discovered in 1995 and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

This treasure consisted of 1,582 coins spanning the reigns of Elizabeth I, James I, Charles I and the rule of the Commonwealth Parliament.

These coins lost to the River Thames mud for 335 years show the range of coinage still in circulation during the Commonwealth period of English history and the degree of wear, as is evident with this example.
